Ann-Margret Olssonwas born on April 28th, 1941 is an
American-Swedish actress and singer. Ann-Margret's acting credits include Viva Las Vegas (1964),
The Cincinnati Kid ( 1965), The Train Robbers (1973), Tommy (1875), The Villain
(1979), Newsies (1992), Grumpy Olsson (1993), Grumpier O Men (1995), and Going
in Style (2017). Ann-Margret has been
nominated for six Emmy Awards, two Academy Awards and two Grammy Awards and a
Screen Actors Guild Award. She was awarded
an Emmy Award in 2010 for her appearance as a guest on Law & Order: Special
Victims unit. She has been performing and
singing for over six years. Her career started in the year 1961. At first she
was referred to as Elvis Presley's female version. Her voice is powerful and lively, with strong, contralto
vocals. The minor success of 1961 as well
as a charting album, and a chart-topping disco smash in 1964 were her
accomplishments. In 2001, she released an
album of gospel that received acclaim from critics and, in 2004, she released a
Christmas album. Ann-Margret was not
married, but was the stepmother of Roger Smith's three children. Smith, who was
an actor was later her manager. Smith and
her were married on May 8th, 1967 until his death on June 4 in 2017. She was earlier married to Smith from May 8th, 1967 until
his death on June 4, 2017.
