She was captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, which took home their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she took home gold medals for the floor and team competitions, along with the bronze medal on the balance beam, making her the most recognized American gymnast at the Games. Morgan was born July 2nd, 1989 to Pamela Morgan and Michael Morgan. They raised her along with her two sisters, Jeni and Jeri, in the Los Angeles suburb of Diamond Bar. Morgan was an athlete of multiple sports throughout her early years, but began playing soccer at 14. Then she joined the Cypress Elite club team, winning the Coast Soccer League under-16 championship and coming in third place in the under-19 bracket. Morgan continued to work at Diamond Bar High School, where she improved her soccer abilities. National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), selected her as an All-American Athlete. She also played in the Olympic Development Division's regional and state divisions. Morgan continued her soccer career at UC Berkeley where she was the California Golden Bears' leading scorer in the first year of her career.
